NOT JUST ANOTHER DAY:
LIVE ACTION × AI VFX

For Gen Z, skating means turning ordinary streets into something personal. So SuperHeroes took that idea further.

Skateboarding isn’t just tricks. It’s creative expression. Finding new spots. Pushing yourself. Doing it your way.

What if a normal skate day wasn’t so normal?

That question kicked off “Not Just Another Day,” SuperHeroes’ latest Made with Lenovo Yoga flight in partnership with AMD. SuperHeroes paired LA pro skaters with three AI artists, then pushed the footage into a surreal, gamified territory. Think warped environments. Power-ups. Pixel glitches. Every trick unlocking a new visual surprise.

Shot on the streets of LA with @Monicatorrs, @Gageboyle, and @Yurifacchini the raw session footage became the playground. AI artists @Ceej.Vega, @JonUriarte, and @HoldenBoyles each took different moments and built one shared visual language across the film. AI met VFX. After Effects met instinct. The skater vibes stayed real. The world didn’t.

Starting with straight-up street clips, the artists layered in makeshift ramps, creatures, UI overlays, and environmental hacks. A classic sunny skate day turned into something you could almost pick up a controller for.

The project rolls out as a collaborative long-form film across all three artists’ channels, paired with individual “How I Made It” breakdowns that show what really goes into bringing this kind of work to life. The tests that failed. The shots that didn’t track. The late-night problem solving.

This wasn’t plug-and-play… It was persistence, experimentation, and a process worth celebrating.

“Not Just Another Day” is all about blending what’s real with what’s possible. Real tricks. Unreal world. And proof that when you push the process as hard as the skating, even a regular sesh can hit a whole new level.
