ONE CLIP, ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES!

Creativity is a fascinating process if you really think about it. Each artist approaches it differently, leading to a wide range of ideas and executions.

With “Around The Corner,” the latest episode of Made with Lenovo Yoga, we set out to celebrate the creative process by giving 7 artists the same starting point: a simple nighttime alleyway clip, which acted as a metaphor for hitting a creative block–a dead end in their ideas–and how they can overcome it.

We shot a single piece of footage, a 15-30 second clip, POV from someone walking into an empty alley at night. Seemingly uneventful, the clip served as a blank canvas. The challenge? Each creative had to transform the alleyway into something compelling and eye-catching, adding their own twist to make it distinct.

@ShubiDubiDoo turned the space into a whack-a-worm game, where a hammer tries to hit a worm like in whack-a-mole.

@JennyMJiang hosted a lively snack party, where different snacks dance while a hamburger DJ spins the tracks.

@CamylBuena transformed black and white footage into a vibrant garden, following a butterfly as it brings color to the scene.

@Tonqart introduced a cat-man superhero, merging cats together into a human-like form to fight crime.

@M_Editat created floating skateboards like a school of fish, hovering and gliding through the alley.

@NudeRobot brought a giant metal arachnid to life using debris and metal objects around the alleyway.

@Voidzto placed a floating light switch in the alley, turning light to dark and vice versa, ending with an explosion of marbles.

This showcases how different perspectives and techniques can turn into entirely unique stories. Some add surreal elements, weave in suspense, while others infuse humor or emotion. Each of these interpretations takes the same raw footage and pushes it in completely different directions, proving that creativity is boundless when given the right spark.

So… what’s waiting around your corner?
